About the event

Students will explore Heyburn State Park, the oldest park in the Pacific Northwest. While hiking through and around the park, students will learn about the forest including tree and plant identification, habitat, ecosystems, and history of the park. 

Grades 3rd - 5th (open to 6th - 8th grade if enrollment numbers allow)

Camps will start at 9 a.m. and end at 3 p.m. each day. 

Pick up and drop off point will be at Heyburn State Park in the parking lot of the visitor center.

Campers should bring a snack, a bag lunch, and water bottle.

​

Campers need to wear appropriate clothing including close toe shoes, jacket/sweatshirt, raincoat (if necessary). 

***There will be a lot of hiking around the park.  They should also bring sunscreen and bug repellent (if desired).
